Reborn and Rebirth: The Factual Theories

There are multiple theories of reincarnation, rebirth and being reborn. Reincarnation is a key belief within many religions, more specifically in Hinduism. In Hinduism, all life goes through birth, life, death and rebirth and this is what is known as the cycle of samsara. Pretty much understandable, right? Except it can be a heated debate topic for scientists and researchers. The theory was presented first in Bhagvad Gita, which was the conversation between the valiant warrior Arjuna and Lord Krishna.

There, Lord Krishna, also known as Vasudev Krishna, tells and teaches Arjuna that one can kill the material body, the one that has lived upto its time, but one cannot slay or kill the soul. As it drifts in the universe, because the soul is immortal and cannot be killed. At death, the soul is reincarnated in another body, or, for those who have fully grasped the true teachings and let go of feelings, body, materialistic desires and devoted their life to the one and only being, God. As the soul reaches release in sanskrit terms, moksha and/or extinction which is also referred as nirvana.

There, Lord Krishna also mentions that, after letting go of regrets, pain, love, happiness, grief, anger, and only devoting the whole self to God, and never think of any mortal emotions can one attain immortality and fuse with the Greatest of all, God. Return to his side and stay there forever.

Rebirth and reincarnation didn’t have any base until the most famous case of Shanti Devi in India in 1926. Shanti Devi, who had claimed herself to be Lugdi Devi, the dead first wife of an amazing affluent clothing businessman in Mathura, who died after giving birth to her son. Shanti Devi was four years old when she started behaving eccentrically, like speaking in full sentences and talking about materials in cloth.

She also claimed that she was a devotee of Lord Krishna who is used to visit the temple near her home in Mathura. Strange enough, she could tell the tiniest of details of her previous life.

There is also a similar case like that from United States, where Bruce and Andrea Leininger’s two year old son, James Leininger who started to claim that he had died of a plane crash, where his plane was shot down by Japanese soldiers during World Was II. He had such clear renaissance of his death, afterlife, life and how he died, along with the people who were with him during the initial death, that it was almost impossible to deny that he was probably stating facts, which he was.

He renacted the way he died with his toy plane, and could tell the architecture of any toy plane presented in front of him. He could recall names of his friends’ name who died before him, and also the person who was with him that day. He knew exactly where the Japanese soldiers shot, that led to his death, it was the engine, in Natoma Bay. He always told his parents that he was James III, since, his name during his acclaimed previous life was also James, James M. Huston Jr, from Pennsylvania, 21 years old, which did make him James III.

He also pointed the exact place where his plane was shot down that flew off a boat first. He recalled the plane he was on and the boat he flew off of. He had talked about three people during his previous life talks. The first one being Jack Larsen, who was alive and confirmed the fact that there was someone who died with the name James M. Huston Jr, he also said that he was the only one who had flown that day and never managed to come back alive, he also took two of his friends’ name, who in fact died before him.

Most of these cases have been recorded to be with people of young age, who died a violent death or died early. Kids all around the world recalled such memories of the same gender and most of them were males. The thing that makes Shanti Devi and James Leininger’s case different is that, Shanti Devi recalled absolutely everything and remembered it till her death. However, Leininger’s memories were fleeting and were gone till he reached adulthood.

Thirty-six cases of rebirth in India whose subjects were born before 1936 were compared with fifty-six cases whose subjects were born in 1965 or later. Fifty-four variables- of demographic data features of the cases, and the investigation of the cases were analysed. The only scientific explanations to these happenings were rebirth and these cases still seem to be recorded till today, even in India.

Quantam Particles are probably responsible for kids to recall such memories because, quantam particles when attach themselves to a mind and body create such phenomenon. In short, reborn and rebirth is not just a concept. It could just as well be truth but there’s no solid proof to prove it to be true, however, that doesn’t mean that they are completely wrong because they can’t be denied either.
