Remind yourself that you are fully capable of looking after yourself. You have all the tools and capability to help yourself. Look inward, remember that you are an efficient self-carer, and get on with it.
Tip #2: Connect to self-care
We feel less lonely and happier by establishing connections. Try to approach people – don’t wait for them to speak with you. Talk to neighbors, family members, or spend time with friends. Even virtual connections offset loneliness and create a feeling of well-being. A sense of community keeps us sane, and feeling good mentally.
Tip #3: Establish secure emotional boundaries.
Recognize who is good for you, and who drains you emotionally. Nurture connections with people who support and uplift you, and keep away from toxic ones who do not accept your emotional and physical limits.
Tip #4: Get serious about fun
Start identifying what makes you happy. Invest time in joyful activities to feel cared for and uplifted. Actively add routines to your lifestyle that focus on fun and happiness, even something as small as a 5-minute tea or coffee break or an afternoon siesta.
