Think of a day without newspapers, phones, social media, hoardings and radio. What do we miss out on? We miss out on news, updates, information, and most importantly entertainment. Very conveniently, we blame social media, influencers, content creators and others for distracting us, but we need the content.
It is the beauty of content, it is inclusive! Everyone finds something. Everyone gets to enjoy their own niche. It starts with relatability, a shared emotion. It makes you feel like you are a part of it. There is content for everyone and, thanks to algorithms, we get to see what we love. Content is not just restricted to social media, it is everywhere; newspapers, music, books, magazines, hoardings. When was the last time you saw a board and were hooked to it? So many times, hoarding becomes a landmark. That is also content. Various advertisements, banners, and flyers are all part of the content. It is curated mindfully using words and design.
With so many resources around us, we often get lost in the pool of distractions. It is not necessarily a platform or a creator, but it is content. We start our day with content and throughout the day we are somewhere connected because of content. It is not just about reels or memes but also news articles, research studies and entertainment.
Content has evolved over the years. There are new forms and different formats and it is definitely now widespread. It has given birth to so many profitable businesses, and it has increased possibilities in different sectors. All of this was possible because of its distribution. Due to technological developments, access to the internet, algorithms, and content could be delivered to the right places. It became accessible. It evolved and we could consume it.
Ironically, I am sharing this through a content piece. That’s the beauty of it! After all, content creates content!
