WATCH: Akshay Kumar plays with fire, impresses fans as a devoted Shiv Bhakt in new song ‘Shambhu’

A day after teasing fans with the motion poster of his spiritually charged music video, actor Akshay Kumar is finally here as a devoted Shiv Bhakt, stunning fans with his song ‘Shambhu‘. Having already portrayed Lord Shiva in the 2023 hit film Oh My God 2, Akshay Kumar was seen extending his voice to the spiritual song dedicated to Mahadev. Besides the actor, the song also has the vocals of Sudhir Yaduvanshi and Vikram Montrose.

Akshay can be seen showcasing the spirit of a devoted follower of Lord Shiva. With the sacred Tripundra Tilak on the forehead, the actor dances passionately and truly brings devotion to life. Besides that, the symbolic tattoos, flowing locks, rudraksha beads, a nose ring, and the Trishul in hand add more to his attire, embedding the spirit of a Shiv Bhakt.
While he announced the song on Sunday, 4 February, the song was released on Monday, 5 February. Akshay while taking to his Instagram handle wrote, “Our divine tribute, #Shambhu is here for all to experience!”

As soon as the song came out, fans took to the comment section and praised Akshay for his divine look. A user wrote, “Akshay’s energy level is top notch omfg”, while another one wrote, “Nobody can play shiv better than you.”

“Really wowwww om namah Shivaya,” a third one commented. Fans were also seen posting chants of ‘Har Har Mahadev’.

Earlier, Akshay Kumar, in a statement, shared his thoughts about the song and said, “Shambhu comes from a deep place in my heart that has only been beating with the name Jai Shri Mahakaal! For the longest time, I have been a Shiva Bhakt but lately, my connection with him and devotion towards him has only become deeper. With this song, I just offer a droplet that I am to the infinite consciousness that Shiva is.”

On the work front, Akshay Kumar who was last in Mission Raniganj is gearing up for the release of his next film ‘Bade Miyan Chote Miyan’. The film also features actor Tiger Shroff.
